Unmasking Colon Cancer Gala

Our fight against colon cancer could not have been done without financial support the Center for Colon Cancer Research has received in the recent years. In 2007, The Unmasking Colon Cancer Gala was the Center's premier fundraising event held in Charleston in 2007 during Colon Cancer Awareness Month (March). Since, this launching event, the Gala has been rotating location annually throughout the state of South Carolina. The Gala is intended to celebrate the progress made in the fight against colon cancer. It seeks to honor those who have survived the disease and remember those who fought and lost their battle. Finally, the Gala celebrates the continued efforts to educate and create awareness of colon cancer. Since the first fundraising gala, attendance has doubled and proceeds have generated from $35 000 to over $116 000 to support the Center for Colon Cancer Research efforts. These proceeds are used to support our research, outreach and screening programs in South Carolina. Moreover, the Gala fundraising has gained momentum since 2010, with the support of major sponsors like BlueCross Blueshield of South Carolina, CVS Caremark, and others.

Columbia 2014

This year will mark the 8th Annual Unmasking Colon Cancer Gala and we will be honoring Colon Cancer Survivors. This Mardi Gras inspired Gala will give guests the opportunity to celebrate the victories made in the fight against colorectal cancer. Guests will testify to the impact that colorectal cancer has on real people in South Carolina. You are invited to join us, in Columbia, at the Koger Center for the Arts, on March 8, 2014 for a Gala that promises to be sensational.

Make a difference, become a Sponsor

The success of the Unmasking Colon Cancer Gala stems from the dedicated support of families, corporate partners, survivors, and the medical community. These individuals and organizations not only educate and inform people about this preventable disease, they also provide the much needed financial contributions required to support our statewide efforts. We are currently seeking the financial contribution of Sponsors for the March 2014, 8th Annual Unmasking Colon Cancer Gala. You will find below various sponsorship options you can choose from to help sustain our efforts.
