Our goal is to unmask colon cancer and to raise awareness about the disease. Contributions will go directly to education, screening and research programs in South Carolina. Jo-Ellen De Luca, a colon cancer survivor, and Anne Brady Moore, who lost her mother to colon cancer, have partnered with the Center for Colon Research to raised funds to support statewide CRC initiatives in South Carolina.
More than 2,300 South Carolinians are diagnosed with colon cancer each year and more than 800 will die from the disease. We are committed to spreading the message that screening saves lives, and colon cancer is preventable, treatable, and beatable.

Don't miss this opportunity to participate in a special evening for a great cause. Net proceeds benefit colon cancer research, screening and education throughout South Carolina.
This Ball is going to be a glittering affair. The Unmasking Colon Cancer fund is dedicated to funding cancer research, awareness & educational program that are poised to increase the early detection of this deadly disease. Every year this preventable disease impacts the lives of thousands of families across South Carolina.
Over 200 people attended last year's ball raising over $30,000 dollars, which was invested back into our local communities. In 2007, we concentrated on supporting collaborative outreach activities to raise public awareness; contributing to 24 billboards, over 15 lunch and learns events, a free screening event, and two statewide professional meetings focused on colon cancer research and advocacy for researchers, clinicians, patients, survivors, and health educators. Your donation supports program that are making an impact...today - and years down the road.

Color Cancer can masquerade as good health. Many times symptoms are nonexistent until the late stages of the disease. Education and awareness about the disease are essential. This event will not only educate, it will entertain. The Atrium, at the State Museum, will be the beautiful backdrop for a fun filled night of delicious food, music, and cocktails.
We recognize that a better term for fund-raising is "friend raising". Through friend raising, we open limitless doors to creativity in support of colorectal cancer awareness and prevention! We are thrilled by the support we are receiving from across the state, and we hope you will join us!
