Unmasking Colon Cancer 2013

Location: Legare Waring House at Charles Towne Landing
Tickets: $150 per person

Colon Cancer
Colon cancer is the most preventable and treatable of cancers if detected early; conversely, it is one of the deadliest if diagnosed at more advanced stages. The disease is the third most common among cancers, and the second leading cause of cancer death in the US and in South Carolina. Over 700 South Carolinians die from colon cancer each year, and about 2,300 are diagnosed with the disease. Research and screening are key to diminishing these numbers. Together with the support of our partners, we are making progress.

Charleston 2013
The 7th Annual Unmasking Colon Cancer Gala will return to historic Charleston in 2013. Join us at the Legare Waring House at Charles Towne Landing on March 2, 2013 for this grand evening of elegance and entertainment under the stars for a good cause.

Guests will enjoy cocktails and hors d'oeuvres followed by a welcome ceremony and live auction event that you won't want to miss! Carmen Marc Valvo, fashion designer and colon cancer survivor, will then present his spring collection in a New York style run way show. The evening will conclude with a live band and dancing the night away under the stars.

The proceeds raised from the gala will be used to support colon cancer research, outreach, and screening programs that benefit all citizens across South Carolina.
