Pathology Core Description
...of murine or human tissue, benign or
neoplastic. This is a written and/or verbal description
of the anatomy and histology of normal tissues and a professional
pathologic assessment of any visible pathologic change within
H and E sections from tissues which differ in some way from
those of normal mice. (eg. Genetically, toxic exposure,
therapeutic exposure.) Comparisons with control tissues
from age and sex matched normal mice are usually essential.
Technical Support
- The development of scoring methods to objectify pathological
changes observed and described (as above) or other pathological
processes eg. inflammation.
- The scoring of histopathogical changes in modest numbers
of tissue samples. These scorings must be done "blindly"
by our staff or our staff can teach you how to do this.
This requires the concurrent "blinded" scoring
of normal tissues.
The preparation of tissue microarrays of
areas of pathological interest (up to 400 samples per slide.)
for larger scale qualatative HC/image analysis based assessment
either in our core, your lab or the imaging core.
